In May we celebrated our monthly dress down day by dedicating our proceeds to The Horse Trust.The charity is a home of rest for the horses, since WWI it has been a place for retired Military and Police horses who have served our country. The trust is also a retirement home for horses and ponies that have provided a service for the community such as riding for the disabled.
The day featured posters of some of the current residents of the trust enjoying their retirement years as well as information on the charity’s history. Donations of carrots and apples were warmly welcomed to accommodate the horses’ dietary needs.
A few members of the Routeco team are avid volunteers of the trust and visit the horses nearly every weekend! Thanks to their organisation of the day, we raised an incredible £237.25 for the trust which will be used for the care and welfare of the retired military and police horses.
