Thank Routeco It's Friday! (TRIF)

This week I thought it might be fun to look at some fun, random facts. Those little things that might have little impact on your everyday life but still have the ability to blow your mind.
  • Every time you lick a stamp, you're consuming 1/10 of a calorie
  • By raising your legs slowly and laying on your back, you can’t sink in quicksand.
  • No matter its size or thickness, no piece of paper can be folded in half more than 7 times.
  • The strongest muscle in proportion to its size in the human body is the tongue.
  • The word “bed” looks like a bed. The word “shark” also has this effect.
  • Butterflies taste with their feet.
  • Polar bears are left handed.
  • 10% of the Russian government's income comes from the sale of vodka.
  • If you toss a penny 10000 times, it will not land 5000 times each side. The heads picture weighs more, so it's more likely to end tails up.
  • Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny) was allergic to carrots.
  • If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
  • The word “engineer” comes from a Latin word meaning ‘cleverness’.

If you have any fun facts, feel free to share!

Have a great weekend!

Rachael
