Thank Routeco It's Friday! (TRIF)

World Book Day!

In the UK World Book Day occurs on the first Thursday of March each year! It’s a celebration of authors, books and most importantly, a celebration of reading!

It is known to most us of as the day we see children walk to school in lots of weird and wonderful outfits as they get to dress as their favourite literary characters.

Or if you are one of the lucky parents, you will know about this weeks in advance as you run around the shops picking up costumes, glasses, whiskers, fairy wings and much more…

Some of the most popular choices include:
  • Harry Potter
  • Where’s Wally?
  • The Cat in the Hat
  • Tinker Bell
  • The Gruffalo
  • Sherlock Holmes
  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • Angelina Ballerina
And of course, Pirates!

What did your children wear on World Book Day? (… And was it easy to find or assemble the outfits?)

Have a great weekend!
Rachael
