Rugged laptops are designed to operate in harsh conditions which make them ideal for industrial use. They are designed to withstand strong vibrations, wet and dusty environments and even extreme temperatures. The difference between a rugged laptop and a regular laptop is that they are designed from scratch, are bulkier, heavier and more expensive but serve a completely different purpose.
